Marco Marzaduri: digital media
I am Marco Marzaduri (Marco Roberto Maria Marzaduri) and I work in computing: cybersecurity, digital forensics and web development. Here I take apart the digital media we use every day: images, sounds, video and games, to understand what happens inside files, codecs and game engines.
Every article starts from a concrete question, tackles it with an example and ends with a summary worth keeping at hand.
What I write about here
- Graphics & images: pixels, colour, formats.
- Digital audio: sampling, codecs, recording.
- Video & streaming: codecs, bitrate, HDR.
- Game development: game loop, physics, sprites.
Report – Rai 3
In 2017 I appeared in the Italian investigative programme Report (Rai 3), in the episode “Un italiano a Panama”. The excerpt is on my YouTube channel.
